Coaching for Homeschool Moms
Are you new to this whole homeschooling thing? Don’t know where to begin or what curriculum to even begin considering?
I’ve got you, mama. I was the oldest child of a homeschooling family and grew up manning a table at huge homeschool book swaps and browsing curriculum at FEAST afterward. By Junior high, I was picking out my own curriculum with my mom because we had tried enough to know what we liked and what really didn’t work for me and why. By high school, I was self- taught. I chose my curriculum (parent approved, of course) and I usually took on extra courses because I was that nerdy kid holed up in my room, pouring over my desk at late hours of the night.
Not only did I receive a good homeschool education, I learned a lot about homeschooling, thanks to my mom having the guts to just go for it and take on something she had no experience in and knew little about. From this experience, I gained knowledge, a love for knowledge, and how to teach knowledge. And I never quit my pursuit of any of those three. I have now created a mod-podge of a curriculum based off of my childhood experiences and educational philosophies like Charlotte Masons and Maria Montessori’s ( my two favorites).
Here’s what I want you to walk away with after your first coaching call with me:
Confidence about what your next step is.
Inspiration to get creative and have fun with your child’s education.
Insight on how to prepare your school space.
Insight on available curriculums that are age appropriate and how to know what curriculum will be a good fit for your child.
A little on parenting and educational philosophies that are available and which ones fit your family’s needs.
A book list.
A plan.
Certainty that you can do this.
Maybe you are already doing it, but you feel stuck in a few areas with your child: let’s talk about it. I can help you find solutions based off of an understanding of child development, nervous system science, learning styles, and more.
Do you have a neuro-spicy child and are at a loss at how to move forward with their schooling? I have experience and understanding in teaching neurodivergent or highly sensitive children. I’d love to support your journey through coaching or hands-on tutoring or a part time learning pod.
What can Homeschool Coaching look like?
A 60min phone call or zoom call
An in-person meet-up at my house where you can look through the resources I have before you spend the money. Then we can sit down and get to work brainstorming together.
A therapeutic walk and talk while our kids play at the park.
What does Homeschool coaching cost?
Just $25 for up to 60min.
Don’t have time (or quiet) for a coaching call?
I’ll send you a voice memo and videos of resources instead. You can listen and respond on your own time.
The cost is $15 for access to me for up to 45min of voice Memos and videos.
Are you homeschooling but need extra support in one or two areas like reading or math? I will tutor your child for only $25 an hour.
Or they can join in on a lesson or two with my kids if a group setting could be more motivating for them.
HSP Children:
Do you have a child who is neuro-spicy or highly sensitive? Hands-on and sensory-oriented tutoring may be the perfect fit for your child.
What’s unique about my Homeschool Tutoring?
I do not teach the child alone, but I also offer resources, tools, worksheets, small assignments, and even coaching for the parent on how to continue the work your child began with me throughout the week. It isn’t just tutoring. We will be creating a weekly plan tailored specifically to the needs of your child.
